The first time I made this recipe, I used nearly fermented bananas. Hence the name. Don't worry, you can use regular bananas and call them whatever you like!
Smoothies make a great anytime snack or meal. They are super-fast to make, and packed full of whole-food, plant-based FUEL that your body will thrive on.
These freeze really well and thaw quickly!
Most of the hummus you find in grocery stores has added oil - for NO REASON! All you can expect from adding oil into your hummus is a bunch of empty calories and inflammation. Oil even causes heartburn for a lot of people. Here's how to avoid it. Dip your fresh veggies or tortilla chips in it as a yummy anytime snack.
This is a tasty recipe. Not meant to be a daily snack but great as a treat!
Popcorn (no butter, of course) - if you've got an air-popper machine, great! If not, you can stove-top cook popcorn in just a bit of water, or some people use pickle juice for a pickle flavour.
Fruit (apple, banana, grapes, cherries, watermelon, etc)
Cold, pre-cooked baby potatoes
Pickles
Olives (with or without garlic)
Coconut water - sometimes when we feel hungry or "snackish" it's because we are dehydrated! Coconut water has helpful electrolytes along with the hydration factor. Great to drink after a workout!
